Douglas R. Drysdale, Q.C.
Doug is a partner in the firm and a graduate of Dalhousie Law School. His primary areas of practice are Administrative Law and Civil Litigation, although his practice is quite varied. Doug has been active professionally as an executive member of the Council of the Law Society of Prince Edward Island and the P.E.I. branch of the Canadian Bar Association, having served as President of the CBA-PEI in 1998-1999. He has volunteered on numerous committees of the Law Society and the CBA and he is a former President of the Community Legal Information Association. Doug served as Chair of the Mental Health Review Board from 1999 - 2005.
Doug is involved in the community as a Kinsmen member and has served for lengthy terms on the Boards of Queens County Residential Services and the P.E.I. Lung Association. He is a former President of both organizations and a member of the Canadian Lung Association Board. Also, he has been pleased to serve as a Board member of Tremploy Inc. and as a member of the Institute of Human Health Research (IHHR) Research Ethics Committee.
Doug enjoys participating in numerous sporting activities, including golf, tennis and skiing, and he still has a strong attachment to softball diamonds. Reading and listening to music (of many varieties) are favourite pasttimes. He loves to travel.
